WHAT IS VOLUNTEER TEAM?
1. General
1.1. Definition
"Volunteer Team (VT) is a non-profit, medical and science-based student organization which aims to promote Islam to all Muslims and non-Muslims alike."
1.2. Motto
1.1. Principle
“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (all that Islam orders) and forbidding Al-Munkar (all that Islam has forbidden). nd it is they who are the successful”.
(Ali Imran: 104)
It is known that enjoining the good and curbing the wickedness is a collective duty. Thus, there should be a group of people in a community that will volunteer to endorse righteousness and limit the evil and consequently release the burden shouldered by the rest.
1.2. Vision
Volunteer Team looks at volunteers as vital assets to the Muslim Ummah. Therefore aims to be the centre for development of the Ummah;
1. Develop a holistic Muslim personality in every volunteer
2. Change the common Muslim's misperception towards volunteerism
3. Contributing to the improvement and enhancement of the qualities of human life.
1.3. Mission
Volunteer Team is committed to:
1. Revive the spirit of volunteerism among the Muslim Ummah.
2. Develop a common platform where Islam can be promoted to all through the specialty of each Muslim.
3. Gather students of all courses to contribute their power, strength and ideas for the betterment of Muslim Ummah.
4. Organize activities that enrich students’ competitiveness
5. Nurture professionalism in volunteerism to all Muslims.
